Canada’s promise to resettle Afghans delayed during government reshuffle

When the US withdrew from Afghanistan late August, Canada promised to resettle 20,000 Afghan refugees, later upping that number to 40,000. But the withdrawal came at the same time as an election reshuffled government ministries, and fewer than 4,000 Afghans have arrived yet. Emma Jacobs reports on the challenges Afghans, many of whom assisted Canadian troops when they fought in the country, face getting to safety.
