South Africa charges Israel with genocide

On Thursday, South Africa had an opportunity to present its case in the International Court of Justice in The Hague, charging Israel with genocide. The lawyers representing the former apartheid nation painted a picture of desperation and killing in Gaza, which they said was tantamount to an attempt to wipe out the Palestinian people and a violation of the world’s genocide convention. Lawyers from Israel will present their arguments in court on Friday.
