Swiss women clinch climate win

A group of Swiss women, mostly in their 70s, won a major victory for climate activists in an international court in France on Tuesday. The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg ruled that Switzerland’s failure to combat the climate crisis violated human rights and undermined the women’s health. Annalisa Savaresi, who specializes in climate change law at the University of Stirling in Scotland, explains the ruling to The World’s Carolyn Beeler.
